DOCTOR WHO
THE END OF TIMESCREEN-USED "A JOURNAL OF IMPOSSIBLE THINGS" AND "A JOURNAL OF IMPOSSIBLE THINGS" PROMOTIONAL SIGNING POSTER

Here are what are now arguably two of my and my family's favourite pieces in the collection. We are all HUGE Doctor Who fans.I have been a fan my whole life and grew up with Tom Baker and Peter Davison as my Doctors and my wife and boys have become huge fans since the return of the series with first Christopher Eccleston and then David Tenant under the helm of the wonderful Russell T Davies.
David was a wonderful Doctor. In my estimation he was every bit as distinctive and memorable a Doctor as Tom Baker was which is the highest praise I can think of to give him.He delivered so many unforgettable performances lending the character a pathos and depth whilst retaining the Doctor's trademark irreverent humour.Needless to say we are all heartbroken he has now left the role.
These are a copy of the "A Journal of Impossible Things" and a promotional poster used to advertise the signing by the author used in David's final episode as The Doctor The End of Time Part Two which was filmed in Blackwell's Bookshop in Cardiff.
The journal was written by the granddaughter of Nurse Joan Redfern whom The Doctor fell in love with during his time under the chameleon arch as John Smith.During what he refers to as "his reward" shortly before his regeneration he visits Verity Newman at her signing to ask if her granfmother was happy. This is one of David's penultimate scenes as The Doctor. There is amazing depth of detail on the reverse of the book jacket and other details that I cannot go into as they are individual to original production pieces and did not make into the final cut of the show but the level of work the prop team put into this book is just wonderful.Fellow Who fans will know that the name of the author is a tribute to two of the show's pioneering producers and creators Verity Lambert and Sydney Newman.
We are all so delighted as Doctor Who pieces from the modern era of the series are practically non-existent and to have two such fantastic pieces from this real landmark episode of the show means a lot to us particularly as these pieces carry such emotional weight for The Doctor.David Tenant will be sadly missed in the role.
"I don't wanna go."........
